In a tribute to the late Khapriso Krong, Arunachal Pradesh’s former education minister and founder of Indira Gandhi Government College (IGGC), a bust of the leader was unveiled at the IGGC campus on September 9. Women & Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul led the ceremony, celebrating his pivotal contributions to the state’s education sector, particularly in the Lohit district.

Reflecting on Krong’s legacy, Pul praised the late minister’s role in shaping the region’s educational landscape, stating, “His guidance was instrumental in my own political journey.”Local MLA Dr. Mohesh Chai also paid homage, acknowledging Krong as a driving force behind educational reforms in the district. He proposed renaming IGGC as Khapriso Krong Government College, with the formal process already underway.

IGGC Principal Dr. Kangki Megu lauded Krong’s vision for bringing quality education to remote communities. A presentation showcased his life’s work, and his family was honored during the event.
