MMTC-PAMP launches Bihu Silver Bar to celebrate  harvest season and Hindu solar year

MMTC-PAMP, India’s only London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) gold & silver good delivery refiner has announced the launch of their latest product, the Bihu Silver Bar. Celebrated with fervor, the Bohag or Rongali Bihu is a day that marks the beginning of both the harvest season and the Hindu solar year.

This bar has been carefully conceptualized to incorporate unique cultural symbols that celebrate the Bihu festival. It includes images of the ‘jaapi’, ‘Gamusa’, and musical instruments like ‘dhol’ and ‘pepa’. The ‘jaapi’ symbolizes the hard work of cultivating the land, while the ‘Gamusa’ is a mark of pride for the state’s people. It is used to welcome guests with open hearts by offering them the ‘Gamusa’ as a symbol of respect and friendship. MMTC-PAMP is celebrating the Assam Festival, an auspicious occasion for joyous celebrations, music, dance, and feasting, with a 999.9 silver bar to showcase the region’s diversity and offer a glimpse into Assam’s vibrant culture.

MMTC-PAMP’s Bihu Silver Bar and other products can be purchased from their exclusive stores, jeweller partners, and online site or directly from MMTC-PAMP’s own website. Vikas Singh, MD & CEO of MMTC-PAMP said, “We hope this bar serves as a token of the pride and respect that the people of Assam have for their traditions and festivals.”
