Motorola on March 6 launched the motorola edge 70 fusion, a new mid-premium smartphone featuring the world’s first 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera sensor, premium fabric-inspired design, and a massive 7000mAh battery, with an effective starting price of ₹24,999. The company also announced an early bird sale on Flipkart from 12 PM to 4 PM on March 6, while the device will go on open sale from March 12, 2026 across Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores.
The smartphone introduces a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 camera with OIS and motoAI, designed to deliver enhanced low-light performance, improved dynamic range, and Pantone-validated colours and skin tones. It also includes a 13MP ultra-wide plus macro lens and a 32MP front camera, supporting 4K video recording across all lenses. AI-powered features such as adaptive stabilization, horizon lock, and portrait mode further enhance the imaging experience.
Despite its slim 7.99mm design, the device houses a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery with 68W TurboPower fast charging, which the company claims can deliver a day’s power in just 10 minutes.
The smartphone also features moto AI 2.0, integrating tools such as Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Perplexity for enhanced productivity and AI-driven assistance. It runs on Hello UI based on Android 16, with three OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
Speaking on the launch, T.M. Narasimhan, Managing Director, Motorola India, said the device combines advanced camera capabilities, refined design, intelligent AI features, and dependable performance to deliver a premium smartphone experience.
In Asansol, the competitive pricing and strong specifications could help the motorola edge 70 fusion attract significant interest among mid-premium smartphone buyers. Local sellers noted that features such as a large battery, high-refresh display, and advanced camera technology are key factors driving consumer demand in the region’s growing smartphone market.
