Motorola has launched the new motorola edge 70 pro smartphone in India, introducing a flagship-grade device focused on low-light photography, AI-powered performance and premium design aesthetics. The smartphone will go on sale from April 29 through Flipkart, Motorola.in and retail stores at a starting effective price of Rs 36,999. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor and comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola said the handset is designed to deliver faster multitasking, gaming and AI-driven imaging performance, supported by a 4600mm² vapor chamber cooling system and 17 5G bands.
A major highlight of the phone is its triple 50MP camera setup led by the Sony LYTIA 710 sensor with optical image stabilisation and motoAI enhancements for low-light photography. The smartphone also supports 4K 60FPS HDR video recording across all cameras and features AI tools such as Auto Night Vision and AI Photo Enhancement. The device sports a 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 5200 nits peak brightness. It also packs a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 90W TurboPower charging.
Local sellers said Motorola’s aggressive pricing strategy could intensify competition in the region’s growing premium smartphone market, especially among young buyers and content creators.
