MSDE, GIF, AWS India collaborate to offer cloud skills training to 1,500 learners

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), in collaboration with Generation India Foundation (GIF) and Amazon Web Services India Private Limited (AWS India) are offering cloud skills training to 1,500 learners, focusing on women to improve gender diversification in the tech industry and underprivileged groups. The initiative, under the SANKALP program, aims to connect learners with employment opportunities.

The growing trend of increasing women’s interest in digital skills training calls for a collaborative approach between industry and government to empower them with online resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

This will enable sustainable livelihoods and employment opportunities at the grassroots level. AMBER, a joint initiative between the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and GIF, aims to train 30,000 youth, 50% of whom will be women, with funding from MSDE and private philanthropy. Speaking about the initiative, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “I believe outcome-based skills training initiatives like Project AMBER will help tap the enormous potential of India’s youth.”
