Cooch Behar Municipality employees and Trinamool workers took out a procession in front of Rabindranath Ghosh’s house today against Rabindranath Ghosh’s car being stopped and harassed. Municipal employees and Trinamool workers staged a protest at Kotwali police station in Cooch Behar today on demand of the arrest of the culprits.
Also, municipal employees have decided to go on strike today in protest against this incident in Cooch Behar Municipality. Cooch Behar South Assembly Constituency MLA Nikhil Ranjan Dey accused the municipal workers of bringing outsiders and marching to show force against the residents.
At the same time, he alleged that the state government sent notices to the state government employees when they went on strike on the DA’s demand. At that point, the municipal employees decided to go on strike. Cooch Behar Municipal Chairman is supporting them, it is duplicity.
