Anjan Dutt sets his upcoming Hoichoi web series ‘Murder in The Hills’ in Darjeeling, which is also the director’s second home. Darjeeling’s beautiful locations and its old school charm has been an inspiration in a lot of filmmakers’ storytelling. But Dutt will not be focusing in the beautiful side of the hills but on areas that are more gritty and grimy.
Anjan Dutt said in an interview that this series will be a murder mystery. The story will revolve around a suspicious death of a 90’s Bengali filmstar. Arjun Chakrabarty will be seen in a role of an investigative journalist. Anindita Bose will be seen as an empathetic, genuine, and emotional Sheela .
Bollywood films like Barfi, Main Hoon Na, Parineeta and Hollywood film The Way Back are some of the notable films that have been shot in Darjeeling before.
