In order to strengthen the India-Japan strategic relationship for a peaceful, secure, and prosperous post-Covid world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese colleague Fumio Kishida had extensive talks on Monday. The Japanese prime minister landed in Delhi about 8 a.m. on Monday for a roughly 27-hour visit to strengthen bilateral ties in a number of areas and seek convergence between India’s G20 presidency and Japan’s G7 leadership to solve numerous global issues. Prior to the meetings, officials stated that the focus would be on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of defence and security, commerce and investment, and high technologies.
