On Wednesday 25 January our country celebrates National Voters Day. On the view, Assam Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) urges to youths of Assam to exercise voting rights without fear and favor.
Nitin Khade (CEO) speaking at the state-level function for Voters Day spoke about the management for error free electoral roll. He said, significant work done by the Election Commission of India (ECI) since its inception for conducting free, fair and safe elections.
Khade in his speech highlighted the significance of National Voter’s Day and touched on ECI’s latest initiatives to enroll eligible young voters by providing an opportunity to apply for advance registration.
The meeting was preceded by an interesting interactive quiz session, photo exhibition etc. with young voters and other participants. Also prize distribution ceremony for contestants participating in National Voter Awareness Competition.
