Nepal Airlines to Expand International Fleet with Airbus A330neo

Nepal Airlines has confirmed the purchase of two Airbus A330neo aircraft to boost its international connectivity. The new wide-body jets will allow direct flights from Kathmandu to Europe, the Middle East, and East Asia.

Tourism Minister Sudan Kirati said the expansion is part of Nepal’s aviation development roadmap, targeting 2.5 million international visitors by 2026. The upgraded fleet will also include in-flight connectivity and improved cargo capacity.

This move strengthens Nepal’s position as a regional travel hub and benefits cross-border tourism with India and Bhutan. Airlines from Dhaka and Kolkata are exploring codeshare options to link with Nepal Airlines’ growing global network.
