New Guinness World Record set by Yoga Instructor from Adani Group

Smita Kumari, an in-house yoga instructor at Adani Group’s healthcare department, set a world record for holding the center split pose for 3 hours 10 minutes and 12 seconds. The record was set in Ahmedabad and presented by Adani Group’s Chairman, Gautam Adani.

Kumari received her certificate from the Guinness World Records team.Smita got a chance to meet other leader’s like Mr.Rajesh Adani, Managing Director, Adani Group and Mr.Pranav Adani, Managing Director (Agro, Oil & Gas) and Director, Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL). Smita joined AEL in 2019 as a professional yoga instructor; She expressed that, “This move proved a life-changing experience for me. I even found a family in my colleagues”.

Ranchi-based Smita has set a world record in maintaining the center split position, a challenging sub-routine in disciplines like yoga, ballet, dance, gymnastics, and martial arts. She applied for the Guinness World Records last year and faced challenges like registration, paperwork, and fees. Adani Sportsline, along with an in-house physiotherapist and dietician, helped Smita plan her journey meticulously until the event day. The team’s support and assistance from colleagues further solidified her success in this challenging position.
