Nissan partners with Akshaya Patra Foundation to provide over 50 lakh meals to New Delhi school students

Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) and The Akshaya Patra Foundation (TAPF), one of India’s largest non-profit organizations, have been working together since January 2023to support the food & nutritional requirements of the children pursuing their elementary education in Government schools of New Delhi. This collaborative initiative, undertaken by Nissan Motor India and The Akshaya Patra Foundation, reflects a shared commitment to building a healthier future for the country by fostering a robust and educated human workforce.

TAPF provided 50 lakh nutritious meals to over 49,000 low-income students in 2023, with support from NMIPL. The program has successfully distributed meals to over 300 schools, contributing to a healthy childhood and improved academic performance. Well-nourished children are more likely to thrive academically and have more opportunities in their future endeavors. The meals directly contribute to a child’s health and well-being.
