Nissan Motor India showcased its recently unveiled Global Premium SUVs X-Trail and Qashqai as part of its multi-city ‘Move Beyond Golf Tournament’ at Madras Gymkhana Club in Chennai. Ravichandran Ashwin, winner of nine Man of the Series awards in Test cricket, was a special guest at the event, doing the tee off and presenting the prizes.
The tournament caters to a group of over 100 customers and provides them with a day of golf and an opportunity to experience Nissan’s global, premium SUVs. Categories of prizes include Handicap Category Winners, Gross Winner, Closest to Pin, and Spot Prize Winners – Longest Drive. X-Trail and Qashqai are undergoing tests in and around the company’s facilities in Chennai. Nissan aims to assess the SUVs’ suitability for the Indian car market. Each vehicle is offered with two distinct powertrain options – one with 1.3-liter petrol with mild hybrid, and other powered by Nissan’s exclusive e-POWER technology.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motors India Pvt Ltd,said, “The effort of organizing the multi-city Nissan Move Beyond Golf Tournament and showcasing the premium global SUVs from Nissan, that is currently being tested in India, with the aim of extending an opportunity to engage with a diverse range of customers while fostering brand recognition and loyalty, and letting them experience our global offerings.”
