Nissan’s GRAVITE launch at Rs 5.65 lakh signals strategic push into India’s affordable MPV segment

Nissan Motor India has introduced the all-new GRAVITE MPV at an introductory price of ₹5.65 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the first model under the company’s renewed product offensive and highlighting its strategic intent to strengthen its presence in India’s high-volume affordable mobility segment. Manufactured locally at the Chennai facility, the seven-seater GRAVITE reflects Nissan’s “Made in India, Made for India” approach and its long-term investment commitment to the domestic market.

The MPV is designed for modern Indian families with flexible seating configurations from two to seven occupants, luggage capacity of up to 625 litres, and more than 30 standard safety features including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill-Start Assist and Brake Assist. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine paired with manual and AMT transmission options, delivering fuel efficiency of up to 19.6 km/l. The vehicle also features Nissan’s signature ‘C’ design language, advanced infotainment connectivity, digital instrument cluster and a limited launch edition offering premium comfort and convenience features. Dealer network expansion across Tier I and Tier II cities is underway to improve accessibility.
