Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar may visit Assam next month. Nitish is campaigning for an anti-BJP alliance ahead Lok Sabha election of 2024.
A senior Congress leader and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) president Badruddin Ajmal said separately that Janata Dal-United chief Nitish Kumar is expected to meet various senior leaders of non-BJP parties in Guwahati. He made this statement to the media on Thursday.
“The Congress and the Trinamool Congress will be part of the anti-BJP alliance led by Nitish Kumar,” said Ajmal, a member of the Lok Sabha.
Ajmal had earlier said that he has no problem if Congress joins an alliance to defeat the BJP in elections of 2024.
