The Navi Mumbai Bengali Association (NMBA) in Vashi, Maharashtra, is set to host a five-day cultural extravaganza from October 20th to 24th, 2023, coinciding with the Sharodotsav (Durga Puja and Dassehra) celebrations. NMBA’s grand celebration will feature spirituality and festival fervor, with Bengali artisans, craftsmen from across India, and celebrity artists from Kolkata and Bollywood offering their creations. The event also includes a three-day free Bhog distribution for all visitors. The festivities will reflect the rich cultural heritage, religious harmony, and love for the nation.

This year, NMBA’s Carnival introduces the theme of “BHALOBASA – THE NEW DAWN OF LIFE,” aligning with their initiative for senior citizens, “BHALOBASA – ASSISTED LIVING FOR SENIOR CITIZENS – AN OLD AGE HOME.” This marks a significant step in addressing the needs of the elderly and promises to be a milestone initiative.Established in 1981, NMBA is a charitable organization registered under the Maharashtra Public Trust Act, emphasizing human relationships, fraternity, trust, and progress. Their Sharodotsav celebration generates funds to support various charitable activities, including “The Home for Cancer Patients,” which provides lodging, food, medical assistance, and care to cancer patients seeking treatment in Mumbai.
