It is claimed that this problem will be reduced a lot.

The Digi Yatra App, developed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, provides access to airports in a handful of airports in the country. In the first phase, the service has started at Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad, and Vijayawada airports. In the second phase, this system is being implemented in 12 airports of the country, like Bagdogra, Ranchi, Chennai, Srinagar, Indore, Coimbatore, Raipur, Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, and Goa.

How will this technology work? Airport authorities said that passengers have to download the Digi Yatra app on their smartphones to get this facility. Aadhaar card should also be linked in the app. After buying the ticket, the boarding pass needs to be uploaded on the Digi Yatra app. The airline will send the DG Yatra ID and passenger information to the airport. At the time of entering the airport, the passenger has to scan the barcode of the boarding pass or e-ticket at the machine. After scanning the barcode, the passenger and flight information will be confirmed through the technology itself.

However, if there is any problem in this case, the CISF will verify the identity of the passenger and allow entry. According to the airport authorities, entry will be done in half the time of the current process of showing identity cards. Meanwhile, the authorities are taking some other measures at Bagdogra airport to reduce the suffering of passengers. Now an average of 10,000 passengers travel from this airport a day. There is total seating for 1100 people. There are also newly opened food courts and restaurants.
