Non teaching staff of Assam colleges alleges govt for depriving benefits

Non-teaching staff of 33 Assam Colleges have accused the government for not providing the benefits as promised while recruiting the employees.

As per sources, The 297 employees of these 33 venture colleges were given appointment letters at a mega job fair in which 30,000 aspirants were distributed appointment letters on Feb 5, 2021. The non-teaching staffs of Assam colleges were promised to be given government benefits.

Ankur Kumar Das, President of the association have alleged that the govt has also promised the non-teaching staffs to be given 10 lakh after their retirement but the members have not received any such penny from the government.

The President of the association said the government has betrayed us.
