Two students from North 24 Pargana achieved top ranks in the 2023-24 SOF Olympiad exams. Hafijah Alam from Swapnopuron Sishu Siksha Niketan achieved first rank in the International General Knowledge Olympiad, earning an international gold medal and merit certificate. Stotram Roy, a seventh-grade student from Kendriya Vidyalaya, claimed the third rank in the National Science Olympiad, earning an international bronze medal and a merit certificate.
This year’s SOF Olympiad saw participation from approximately millions of students across 70 countries, including over 16,737students from North24 Pargana. Notable schools from North 24 Pargana, including ABN Global Academy, Nivedita Shishu Tirtha were among the participants.
The Science Olympiad Foundation held an awards ceremony in New Delhi to recognize the top three worldwide rank holders from grade 1 to 12 who participated in seven Olympiad exams for the academic year 2023-24. Distinguished guests included former Chief Justice of India, Justice Dipak Misra, and renowned author Chetan Bhagat. At the ceremony, former chief Justice of India, Justice Dipak Misra addressed the gathering of over 700 attendees, he said, “Competition or the effort to compete doesn’t end here, that is the beauty of competition in Life. When you talk about competition, success follows it because everyone competes to succeed. Success is the real achievement”.
