NSE issues alert: Bogus videos impersonating CEO Chauhan surface, investors urged to verify sources

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has raised concerns over the proliferation of fabricated videos featuring its Managing Director and CEO, Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, allegedly offering stock recommendations. The exchange issued a cautionary advisory, urging investors to exercise caution and verify the authenticity of information originating from credible sources.

These counterfeit videos employ sophisticated technology to replicate Chauhan’s voice and facial expressions, presenting false investment advice in an attempt to deceive unsuspecting investors. NSE reaffirmed its stance, clarifying that its employees are not authorized to endorse stocks or engage in similar activities.

Responding to the issue, NSE has initiated measures to address the dissemination of these misleading videos, actively engaging with platforms to remove such content wherever feasible. Highlighting its commitment to transparency, NSE emphasized the importance of relying on official communication channels, including its website (www.nseindia.com) and verified social media handles such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
