Odisha faces new Covid-19 cases

Odisha recorded 816 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, while one more patient died of the disease.

Active cases rose to 5,911, of which 2,011 patients were in Khurda district.

The test positivity rate was 4.59 percent as cases were detected among 17,787 samples. According to the data, 118 of the new patients were children.

Another 53 covid patients died due to the infection.

Khurda district, where the capital Bhubaneswar is located, had the highest number of cases at 218, followed by 141 in Sundargarh and 78 in Cuttack, a report added.
