Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has reviewed the progress of investment projects linked to Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed during the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026 and directed officials to speed up the implementation of feasible proposals in the state.
During the review meeting, officials informed the Chief Minister that concept notes and detailed project proposals for more than 158 investment projects have been received. The proposals are currently being examined by the departments concerned before further steps are taken towards their implementation.
Saha directed all Secretaries and Directors to prepare a 100-day action plan to ensure that feasible projects move from investment commitments to actual implementation. The exercise is aimed at identifying pending issues and ensuring that proposals do not remain at the discussion or planning stage.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need for departments to work in coordination and address administrative or procedural delays that could affect the progress of the projects. Officials have been asked to identify bottlenecks at the earliest and take steps to resolve them.
As part of the monitoring mechanism, the Chief Secretary will conduct monthly reviews of the projects and assess the progress made by different departments. The reviews will focus on implementation, pending clearances and other issues that may be affecting the grounding of projects.
The government has linked the investment drive with employment generation, with the expectation that the implementation of viable projects will create additional job opportunities for people in the state.
