On the eve of the Nyokum Festival, the governor of Arunachal Pradesh sends greetings

On the eve of the Nyokum celebration, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik sent his warmest regards to the state’s citizens on Tuesday. “I hope the festival will bring joy, harmony, and renewed strength to the bonds that unite people as one vibrant community,” the governor said in his best wishes. Parnaik emphasized that the Nyishi community’s cherished customs and ideals are exquisitely reflected in Nyokum, one of the state’s most extensively observed celebrations.

He underlined that Arunachal Pradesh’s moral legacy, social values, and cultural diversity may be highlighted through the colorful Nyokum Yullo festivals. “The Nyishi community’s treasured event is a monument to our beloved state’s rich and vibrant cultural heritage. I have no doubt that the young people, community leaders, and distinguished Nyishi community members will continue to be instrumental in conserving and advancing this priceless cultural heritage for future generations as we unite in celebration,” he stated. In addition, the Governor joined the Nyishi community in praying to Nyokum Ane, asking for her heavenly blessings for everyone’s peace, prosperity, and well-being.
