One person died on the spot and two others were seriously injured after hitting the dumper, which was standing on the road. The incident took place in the Madrasah Chowpathi area of Mathabhanga. The incident cast a shadow of mourning on the area.
It is come to know that three people were traveling on a motorbike when the motorbike hit the back of a dumper, which was standing on Mathabhanga-Siliguri State Road No. 16. The other two including the biker fell on the spot and one person died on the spot. All of them are residents of Ward No. 9 of Mathabhanga city.
Immediately after the accident, the locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured and sent them to the Mathabhanga Sub-Divisional Hospital. The police of Mathabhanga police station have started investigating the incident. According to police sources, the corpse has been identified as Ramakrishna Barman and the injured as Swapan Patnik and Sushant Barman.
