A person died in a bison attack at 7 O’clock in the morning. Three of the seven injured are undergoing treatment at Cooch Behar Medical College. The incident took place in the Haribhanga area of Cooch Behar Block 1. According to local sources, local residents saw two bison eating corn around six in the morning. The incident spread excitement in the area.
It is come to know that on Saturday morning Biren Burman was standing in front of a bamboo tree near his house when a bison suddenly came from behind and attacked him. The family took him to the Cooch Behar Hospital where the doctors on duty declared him brought dead. It is not yet known where the two bison came from. Police and forest officials have reached the spot. Currently, the whole area is in panic.
