OnePlus Nord is the company’s cheapest phone in 2020, launches at Rs 24,999; Buds at Rs 4,990.

OnePlus has launched its ‘affordable’ Nord smartphone via an AR launch event on July 21, Tuesday. The OnePlus Nord starts at Rs 24,999 for the base 6GB RAM/64GB variant, which will be made available in September. The 8GB RAM/128GB storage and 12GB RAM/256GB storage variants priced at Rs 27,999 and Rs 29,999, respectively, will be made available starting August 4 via Amazon and company’s own website.

OnePlus Nord will be available on nord.oneplus.com beginning August 4 in Europe and India. Fifty North American users will have a chance to experience the OnePlus Nord through a limited beta program. Prior to open sale, the OnePlus Nord will be available in OnePlus’ first-ever virtual pop up starting 21 July 2020. The OnePlus Nord will also be open for pre-booking starting 22 July in OnePlus Experience Stores and starting 28th July on Amazon.in. The OnePlus Nord will also be available in an exclusive Early Access sale for OnePlus Red Cable Club members on 3 August 2020 on oneplus.in and OnePlus exclusive offline stores.

The OnePlus Nord will have six cameras in total – four on the back and two on the front.
On the back, the Nord will sport a 48MP primary camera that is present on the OnePlus 8 that costs more. OnePlus is also bringing optical image stabilization to the table, which is another flagship-grade feature.
Other cameras include an ultrawide angle snapper, a depth and a macro sensor. On the front there will be two cameras, and OnePlus says it will use artificial intelligence (AI) to improve low-light shots.

All in all, the OnePlus Nord is shaping up to be an interesting phone. The mid-range smartphone category has seen a lot of launches over the last few years, but not many have generated as much interest as the OnePlus Nord.
