Optum, a leading health solution and care delivery organization, part of UnitedHealth Group, a Fortune 5 company, teamed up with Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation (ABBF), a not-for-profit organization, in solidarity and support for disability inclusion, at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2023.
The partnership aimed to use sports to raise awareness, dispel misconceptions, and enhance visibility for individuals with disabilities and special needs. On October 15, 2023, 50 Optum team members and 50 disabled individuals participated in a 4.5 km run at the Delhi marathon.
Speaking of this collaboration, Uma Ratnam Krishnan, Managing Director – India, Optum Global Solutions, said, “This has been a rich learning experience for team Optum that has inspired us to work with commitment to achieve our goalof creating effective, inclusive solutions for everyone we are privileged to serve.”
