Optum participates in the Hyderabad Marathon with unparalleled employee engagement. More than 1005 Optum employees ran in the Hyderabad Marathon on Sunday, August 27, 2023. The team comprised 841 men and 164 women. The team participated in the 42-kilometer full marathon, 21-kilometer half marathon, and 10 and 5-kilometer races. Every year, to prepare for this event, LiveWell, Optum’s holistic employee well-being program, supported employees in their fitness journeys, offering expert guidance on nutrition, fitness, and coaching. Optum also sponsored a practice run on August 6, 2023.
Speaking on employee participation, Uma Ratnam Krishnan, Managing Director – India, Optum Global Solutions, said: “Our strength in numbers at the Hyderabad marathon is a testament to our unified goal at Optum, to build a health care system that works better for all those we serve, including our employees. With LiveWell, we give them the resources they need to take control of their total well-being.
