Over a property dispute a man has allegedly beaten his father-in-law

Recently a shocking incident has surfaced in the Kawarbari area near Fatapukur of Panikauri Gram Panchayat where a man has allegedly beaten his father-in-law over a property dispute. In fact the accused, Bhoikanto Roy, has reportedly absconded after a complaint was filed against him at the Rajganj police station. As per the reports, the altercation resulted from a prolonged conflict regarding property between Bhoikanto Roy and his father-in-law, Taruni Roy. Local sources reported that Bhoikanto Roy, who married Tarani Roy’s only daughter around 25 years ago, had been residing at his in-laws’ home since the marriage. Over the past few years, tensions escalated as disputes over property ownership intensified.

In this regard, Taruni Roy’s brother Kolin Roy disclosed that the conflict escalated when Bhoikanto Roy allegedly subjected his father-in-law to severe physical assaults. As a result, the family filed a formal complaint at the Rajganj police station two days ago. Following the filing of the complaint, Bhoikanto Roy has gone into hiding to evade arrest. Despite the situation, Bhoikanto Roy’s wife has refrained from commenting on the matter, reportedly due to fear of retaliation. Meanwhile, the local police have actually initiated an investigation into the incident and are actively searching for the absconding son-in-law.
