Remember the silent Sardarji from Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol’s ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’? Parzaan Dastur, who played the role in 1998, is now engaged to his girlfriend Delna Shroff. The exchanged rings in a traditional Parsi engagement ceremony.
Parzaan shared images from his and Diana’s engagement. In the photos, he could be seen wearing a traditional Parsi white costume – pyjama, kurta with bowtie and cap. Delna, on the other hand, was seen in a red saree, which is also a traditional attire during Parsi pre-wedding and wedding ceremonies.
A mutual friend of Parzaan and Delna shared an image of the couple. In the photo, Delna was seen kissing Parzaan on the cheek as he gave her a hug. Posting another image from the engagement ceremony, Parzaan wrote, “Star is shining.” The hashtag #DelCountsTheStars was also used with the posts.
Parzaan had teased the wedding in October last year with a picture of him on one knee as he proposed to Delna.
