Passengers Without Masks Can Be Removed From Flight

In its order today, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said: “The Airline shall ensure that in case any passenger does now not adhere to instructions even after repeated warnings, he/she must be de-boarded, if want be, before departure.” In case any passenger on board an aircraft refuses to put on masks or violates the “COVID-19 Protocol for passengers” even after repeated warnings, all through the route of the flight, such passenger may additionally be dealt with as “Unruly Passenger.”

Airport operators have been requested to make bigger bulletins and surveillance. Cases of refusal to wear masks can be dealt with great or the passengers can be passed over to protection agencies to take motion as per law, the DGCA order read.

“The issuance of said order, in our view, is the right step considering that the pandemic has not abated and keeps springing up its unsightly head,” the court docket added.
