Paul L. Khuma Urges Cooperation for Clean Voter List in Mizoram

A meeting was held today in Serchhip to discuss the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in the district. The meeting was convened by Serchhip District Election Officer (DEO) Pu Paul L. Khuma, who is also the Deputy Commissioner of Serchhip district.

The meeting took place at the DC Meeting Hall, where representatives of various political parties and leaders of different voluntary organisations were invited to take part in the discussion. The main purpose of the meeting was to explain the process and preparations for the Special Intensive Revision that will soon be conducted in Serchhip district.

During the meeting, officials explained that the upcoming Special Intensive Revision will involve the correction and updating of the electoral roll from the year 2005 up to 2026. The exercise aims to ensure that the voter list in the district remains accurate and up to date.

District Election Officer Paul L. Khuma urged both voluntary organisations and political parties to cooperate with the election authorities so that a clean and accurate electoral roll can be maintained for the benefit of Mizoram and the Mizo people.

Election Officer Lalchhanhimi also gave a detailed explanation about how the revision process will be carried out. She informed the meeting that Block Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct house-to-house verification in their respective areas. The officials will visit every household to verify voter details and make necessary corrections to the electoral roll.
