PM announces compensation for the family of 11 killed in the fire in Hyderabad

A fire broke out at an iron and plastic scrap warehouse at Bhoiguda in Hyderabad.

A police officer said that the fire broke out around 4 am in the morning. In the densely populated residential colony near the Secunderabad railway station, around 13 workers were asleep on the upper floor of the warehouse when the fire broke out. He said that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. Further investigation is still going on to find the exact cause of the fire.

Around eight fire tenders were there for the service. They brought the fire under control around 7 am.

11 migrant workers were killed in the horrible accident. The bodies of those workers were recovered so far. They are migrant labourers from Bihar.

They recovered 11 bodies and all of them were totally burnt and unrecognisable condition. One of the workers was managed to escape from that fire with burn injuries. He then rushed to the Gandhi Hospital. But his condition is very critical.

PM Narendra Modi tweeted:
