PM Modi Launches New Amrit Bharat Trains, Unveils Major Development Projects in Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged off four new trains in Kerala, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains and one passenger train, from Thiruvananthapuram. During the visit, he also laid foundation stones and inaugurated several key development projects aimed at improving infrastructure and boosting growth in the state.
Addressing a public gathering, PM Modi began with a traditional “Namaskaram!” and said that rail connectivity in Kerala has been strengthened through the Centre’s continued development efforts. He highlighted steps being taken to promote Thiruvananthapuram as a startup hub, encouraging innovation and employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister also launched the PM SVANidhi Credit Card and disbursed PM SVANidhi loans to nearly one lakh beneficiaries. He said the initiative is focused on supporting street vendors and improving the welfare of poor families. The event marked a fresh push towards better transport facilities and inclusive development in Kerala.
