PM Modi meets French President Macron

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron reviewed ongoing bilateral initiatives including cooperation in civilian nuclear energy and defense cooperation projects on Tuesday.

During their telephonic conversation, they also discussed important geopolitical challenges related to global food security, the report said.

India and France have expressed concern over global food security and nutrition risks in light of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the depth and strength the India-France strategic partnership has gained in recent years and agreed to continue working together to expand the relationship into new areas of cooperation, the statement said.
