PM Modi to go to Quad pioneers’ virtual meet today in the midst of Russia-Ukraine struggle

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending Quad Leaders’ digital assembly on Thursday. The assembly will be attended by means of US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Japan Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, as well. The assembly comes amid the Russian Invasion on Ukraine.

In a press launch the Ministry of External Affairs has referred to that the leaders will alternate views and assessments about important tendencies in the Indo-Pacific.

“The leaders will have an probability to continue their talk after the September 2021 Summit in Washington DC. They will alternate views and assessments about essential trends in the Indo-Pacific,” the press launch said.

The ongoing efforts of imposing the leaders’ initiatives announced as section of the Quad’s current and positive agenda, will be reviewed with the aid of the Quad Leaders.

In September final year, the Quad leaders held an in-person summit in Washington.

On February 24, Russia has declared a conflict on Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said “special military operations” had been launched to “demilitarisation and denazification” of Ukraine.
