A new Rajdhani Express would be launched from Sairang to connect Mizoram with the nation’s capital, while the Bairabi services will link Kolkata and Guwahati,” the source stated.
Rajdhani Express train from Sairang (Aizawl) to Anand Vihar
Sairang is only eighteen kilometers away from Aizawl. Therefore, better access to the nation’s capital would be made possible by a weekly Rajdhani Express train between Sairang and Anand Vihar.

The Bairabi-Sairang railway line, which was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 8,071 crore, features 48 tunnels, 55 major bridges, 87 minor bridges, five road overbridges, and six road underbridges. Bridge No. 196 is the tallest of these, standing at 114 meters, 42 meters higher than the Qutub Minar.
