Polycab India Limited has expanded its distribution infrastructure in Eastern Uttar Pradesh with the launch of a new Quick Service Depot (QSD) in Gorakhpur, aiming to strengthen its supply chain and improve delivery efficiency across the region. The company said the move is part of its strategy to enhance customer service, reduce delivery timelines and deepen market reach in one of its key growth markets.
The newly inaugurated depot spans 10,300 sq. ft. and will distribute Polycab’s range of products, including wires and cables, lighting solutions, fans, switches, switchgear and other fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG). The facility is expected to improve product availability, speed up order fulfilment and help channel partners manage inventory more efficiently across Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Commenting on the expansion, Ishwinder Singh Khurana, Chief Executive Officer (B2C), Polycab India Limited, said Eastern Uttar Pradesh remains an important market for the company. He noted that the new depot complements Polycab’s existing warehouse in Lucknow and will strengthen the company’s regional distribution network by enabling faster deliveries and improving service responsiveness.
In Gopalganj, the new Gorakhpur depot is expected to benefit dealers and distributors in the neighbouring Bihar district by shortening delivery timelines and ensuring quicker access to Polycab’s electrical products. The improved logistics network could support growing demand from residential, commercial and infrastructure projects in Gopalganj and nearby markets. Polycab said it will continue investing in regional warehousing and logistics infrastructure to strengthen its nationwide distribution network and support increasing demand across its product portfolio.
