Pune conduect the 3rd Digital Economy Working Group Meet

The 3rdDigital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting concluded on 14 June 2023, Wednesdayin Pune. The meeting saw deliberations on important issues like digital security, cyber security, securing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), and the digital economy.

During this meeting 10 discussion sessions on DPI were organized wherein, 60 global experts shared their views on Digital Public Infrastructure. The meeting witnessed participation from 300 senior delegates, 150 foreign delegates representing 46 countries, and international organizations like UNDP, UNESCO, WEF, World Bank, ITU, ADB, OECD, and UNCDF.

The last day of the meeting saw 4 sessions focused on digital skilling and security, as well as a presentation on the Toolkit for Cyber Awareness. India’s initiatives such as COWIN, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System, and Soil Health Card were showcased. The meeting also focused on drafting the manifesto, which will be finalized in the 4th Working Group Meeting in Bengaluru in August 2023. G20 representatives discussed DigiLocker’s stall at the meeting, along with the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT and President/CEO of the National e-Governance Division. G-20 delegates were captivated by Maratha games and classical dance performance.
