In a four-page preliminary response, Rahul Gandhi questioned the procedure used by the authorities and the apparent urgency following a 45-day delay in response to the Delhi Police’s notification over his statement that “women are still being sexually attacked” during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. After a team from the Delhi Police, Rahul responded with a 10-point response. Also, he requested eight to ten days to respond fully to the Delhi police’s inquiries regarding his comments from January 30. The police team led by Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda arrived at Rahul Gandhi’s 12, Tughlaq Lane, home around 10 am and was able to meet him after two hours, according to officials. They said that the team left around 1 pm.
