Rahul’s “display of might” before the court was improper ethically and legally: BJP

Rahul Gandhi appealed his conviction in a defamation case on Monday, and the BJP accused the Congress of engaging in a show of power before the Surat court, calling it a demonstration of his “arrogance” and morally and legally incorrect.
Gandhi was accompanied by several senior Congress members when he filed the appeal in the sessions court, and BJP national spokesperson and MP Sudhanshu Trivedi questioned whether this was an example of Gandhi’s arrogance, an effort to exert pressure on the judiciary, or a case of him using the “familiar tactic” of browbeating investigation agencies.
Outside the court, a sizable crowd of Congress members had gathered and were chanting Gandhi’s praises.
