Rajnath Singh visits Jammu the day after 5 soldiers killed in Rajouri

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Jammu to review the ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri’s Kandi area on Saturday.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Army Chief General Manoj Pandey welcomed the Union Minister on his arrival here. Singh will visit Rajouri, where soldiers were killed in an explosion caused by terrorists during an encounter with security forces on Friday morning.

Five soldiers were killed during the Indian Army’s anti-terror operation ‘Operation Trinetra’ along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF.

This morning, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tributes to the five service members who lost their lives. The deceased have been identified as Lance Naik Ruchin Singh Rawat, paratrooper Siddhant Chettri, Naik Arvind Kumar, Hav Neelam Singh and paratrooper Pramod Negi.

The Indian Army is carrying out an operation to neutralise a group of terrorists involved in the attack on an army truck in Tota Gali area of Bhata Dhurian in Jammu region, in which five more soldiers were killed.
