Rakesh Jhunjhunjwala-backed Akasa Air gets clearance from air regulator to start operations

Akasa Air, India’s most modern airline, on Thursday obtained its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India. The DGCA has cleared Akasa Air to start operations.

Following the government’s initiative to usher in a new era of digitisation, Akasa Air is proud to be the first airline whose end-to-end AOC process was once performed the use of the government’s progressive eGCA digital platform.
