Recently The Meitei Presbytery Society has asked Meetei Christian Churches Council Manipur (MCCCM) to remove names of Churches under it from a petition the latter has filed in the Supreme Court. Actually the petition, filed with the Supreme Court, lists Churches that were damaged in the present conflict which broke out on May 3, 2023. In fact speaking to reporters at a press meet, Meitei Presbytery Society vice president, H Nabakeshore said the names of Churches under the society were inserted in the petition by the MCCCM without consent.
In reality The MCCCM should remove the names of the Churches under the society from the petition. If the names of the Churches are not removed, MCCCM will be held responsible for any issue that arises, which H Nabakeshore said. Actually in Manipur today lots of problems are going on and it is affecting the lives of common people. In this situation it became very important to have good understanding with each other and create peace.
