Recently an unsettling issue has emerged where the teachers and students of Chakiabhita Shishu Shiksha Kendra, located near Ambari under Rajganj block, are distressed due to the occurrence of drinking and gambling inside the classrooms at night. As per the information, the school staff has encounter an unpleasant sight in the morning upon arriving at the school. Reportedly, various inappropriate items including bottles of alcohol are usually found lying around in the classrooms in the morning. School teacher Subhash Chatterjee stated that the school runs from 10 AM to 3 PM. Following this, due to a lack of security, the school premises are transformed into a hub for intruders to carry on drinking and gambling.
Additionally, the police administration has also been alerted multiple times regarding the occurrence but to no avail. In the meantime, the teachers are concerned that the predicament might damage the environment of the institution resulting in a bad impact on the students. On the other hand, local Panchayat member, Rinku Roy, mentioned being aware of the prevailing issue at the educational institution, on this day, and expressed the activity as unacceptable. Further, she stated that the matter would be actually reported to the police administration.
