Residents of Matangini Colony have been grappling with the prolonged issue of shortage of drinking water

Residents of Matangini Colony in Ward No. 28 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) have been actually grappling with the prolonged issue of shortage of drinking water. In response, the SMC has recently inaugurated a pumping station in Babupara, located in Ward No. 27 of Siliguri to solve the issue. According to reports, the pumping station has been constructed at Babupara in Ward No. 27 of Siliguri at a budget of Rs 56,16,484. Actually this pumping station will mainly meet the needs of the residents of Matangini Colony in Ward No. 28 for clean drinking water. Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb and MMIC Dulal Dutta along with others visited the pumping station on Tuesday.

On this day, the residents of the areaactually voiced their issues concerning the pumping station. In response, the Mayor stated that all the issues would be resolved within seven days. This is actually very good news as problems related to drinking water is getting solved and people are getting their basic need.
