The leading edible oil manufacturer Ritika Vegetable Oil Private Limited would augment its production capability of ‘Mustard oil’ up to 100% per year. This is in line with the Government banning blending of mustard oil with any other cooking oil with effect from October 1.
Since last 40 years, Data Group has been in business and producing millions of tons pure high quality edible oils throughout the years. Company markets these oils under various brands including Scooter, Ashoka and Shiv Classic. The Company, which has operations across various districts of Assam, is also present in other categories of edible oils like soya oil, palm oil and vanaspati. It plans to further strengthen its presence in Assam. It is in the process of appointment of distributors across key districts. A company spokesperson said, “The recent decision of Government directs manufactures of oil manufacturers to not produce any edible oil blended with mustard oil. However, there is no ban on production of blended oil with any other oils (except Mustard Oil). We have increased our production capability of pure & high quality mustard oil.”
