On Sunday, Udharband’s Pacnh Mile area in Cachar district a speeding truck came from opposite and thrashed a car where 45 years old man was killed on the spot.
According to the sources, “the car was dragged for few metres. The driver of the truck however managed to flee.”
After the incident, the local people took the deceased to the hospital, but on reaching the hospital, his condition was said to be critical.
Another incident took place on the Assam-Manipur National Highway; A 12-year-old died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle.
On December 31, three people were killed in a motorcycle accident on the Silchar-Kalain road near Ujangram area of Borkhola in Cachar.
