Three people were arrested along with 1.80 lakh tablets used for drugs in the Lakhipur area of Cachar on Sunday. The market value of seized drugs is 50 crore.
Assam Police conducted two raids. Another raid was conducted at Karbi Anglong.
Five accused of involvement in drug trade. Assam Police recovered drugs worth crores of rupees from Cachar and Karbi Anglong districts. The operation was carried out on Monday.
According to sources, the names of the five accused are Abdul Saeed, Ibazur Rahman and Sameer Alam, all of them are residents of Cachar district.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
