New rule implemented for state’s senior most bureaucrats that they must take CM’S permission for leave set by Assam government.
The rule is for all officers from the rank of commissioner and secretary and above and all senior most officials.
According to the sources, the rule was newly imposed on last Saturday. Most of the senior officials were found absent from important meeting.
Henceforth the rule was imposed to take permission from Chief Minister before any leave.
Earlier, they did not have to obtain any permission for leave headquarters for private visits within the state but had to inform their heads or the chief secretary.
